Germany have announced their 27-man provisional squad for Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Liverpool midfielder Emre Can and Borussia Dortmund’s Mario Gotze, scorer of the winner in the World Cup final four years ago, have both been left out of Germany’s preliminary squad for this summer’s finals.
Captain Manuel Neuer who has not featured for Bayern Munich since September as a result of injury makes the 27-man squad alongside other 12 members of the squad that won the tournament four years ago in Brazil.
