Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang hopes to play alongside fellow striker Alexandre Lacazette at Arsenal and says they can ‘complement each other’ on the pitch.
‘I hope we will have the opportunity to play together – it’s something I said when I first arrived that I hoped to play with him,’ Aubameyang told Sky Sports.
The Gabon international who has hit the ground running with his six goals in seven games since joining the Gunners in January admits that he and Lacazette play in different ways but can still complement each other.
The forward who equally played for Dijon, Lille, Monaco and Saint Etienne added;
‘We have different styles, but I think they’re styles that complement each other. He’s a very good player and a very kind person.
‘We were once rivals in our days in France, but we’re now friends and I hope we can play well together and score lots of goals.’
