Paul Pogba has been mocked by Denmark’s coach.
Danish manager, Age Hareide claimed Didier Deschamps’ team are not “anything special”. He also aimed at Pogba for being more obsessed with his looks.
“He played against Manchester City with his hair dyed blue and white, maybe he’ll have it red and white to play us,” said Hareide. “Damn it, he cares so much about his appearance.”
The 64-year old added; “Yes, yes, they have talent but they have to play as a team!’ he told Danish newspaper Jylland-Posten. “But each of these players will mostly want to shine on a personal level.
“As a team, France has sometimes failed. When they have done well, it is because they had a great player to lead them, like Zinedine Zidane, who kept them all together.
“They don’t have a player like that at the moment. Is Kante the one? no. Paul Pogba, he has highs and lows.”
“The big teams at the World Cup are the best. But not France. I don’t believe in this team.
“We are going to face them and I will be damned if we don’t give them a hard time. I saw them against Sweden in Stockholm and I didn’t think they showed they were anything special.”
France are in Group C with Australia Peru and Denmark. And they face the Danes in Moscow on June 26.
