Jurgen Klopp has expressed his sadness at Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s injury blow.
The Liverpool star will miss the rest of the season and this summer’s World Cup after suffering knee ligament damage while making a tackle in the 5-2 win over Roma before he left the field on a stretcher.
“I have no words. I cannot believe for this wonderful player and person, in such a positive situation, that this happened,” Klopp said ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash with Saturday.
“It is such a shame. It is not fair. But this is how life is sometimes.
“If you get a lemon, make lemonade. That is what we must do. Alex is a positive person and he will be back.
“We will wait for him like a good wife when her man is in prison.”
Klopp equally hinted on the situation with Senegalese winger who was pictured at Spire Hospital.
He said: “Of course there is something. We will see.
“It is not that serious. There is a chance for tomorrow (against Stoke).
“You have to speak to the players, physios and doctors and make a decision.”
