Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has sought to end speculation over his future, by declaring: My commitment is total.Every poor result raises the same question of exit. But having lost back to back games against Bournemouth and Watford respectively, the Italian gaffer reassures his commitment to the club.
“I am not thinking for one moment about the possibility of going away from this club,” declared Conte. “My commitment and the players are totally for this club.
“A lot of time in football the manager and the coach depends on the result.
“At the moment we are having a poor result. For this reason we have to pay great attention.
“We have to try to stop this bad run and get three points against West Brom.
“It won’t be easy, the confidence is not high but we have to trust in our work and football.”
Olivier Giroud could start for the Blues against West Brom on Monday night, but Conte is still ‘worried’ about the absence of Morata who continued to be sidelined through injury
“He is trying to stop this pain in his back,” revealed Conte of Morata.
“I don’t know [how long he’ll be out] and for this reason I am a bit worried, as you know very well the importance of this player.”
Christensen is in contention to play some part against West Brom.
And on the Danish defender, Conte said:
‘Christensen today didn’t train with us today, but he trained. Honestly I hope to count on him for the game against West Brom because he is a very important player.’
