The 29-year-old will imminently complete a swap deal from Arsenal with Henrikh Mkhitaryan moving in the opposite direction.
Sanchez will bank a huge pay rise with wages of at least £400,000 per week.
The Chile international travelled to Manchester on Sunday to put the finishing touches on his transfer.
According to the Metro, Sanchez has now completed his medical and has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract which makes him the highest-paid player in the Premier League.
An official announcement is expected to be made by United within the next 48 hours.
The 29-year-old is pictured with a phone in his hand, which suggests that the forward was filming part of his unveiling for United’s official media channels.
Sanchez is due to take part in his first training session with his new teammates on Tuesday and could make his official debut in United’s FA Cup fourth round tie against Yeovil on Friday evening.
His first Premier League appearance for United is set to be against Tottenham at Wembley on January 31.
Mkhitaryan, meanwhile, has been in London over the weekend to finalise his transfer to Arsenal.
The Armenia international has already said goodbye to his United teammates and will become Arsenal’s highest-earning player .
Both Sanchez and Mkhitaryan require an update to their work permits, which has been one reason why the deal could not be completed sooner.
